After reading the reviews, we was all very sceptical about the stay, however, once we arrived and entering the hotel. Was a warm and welcoming atmosphere and feel to the hotel. The reception staff was amazing, so accommodating as we was 1 hour early to check in time, but our rooms was ready and we was asked if we wanted to be close together, so they moved us to be together. Fantastic. Without having to be asked. On entering the room, the room was clean and tidy, spotless to be exact. Yes some may moan about decor...but I wasn't there for the decor. I wanted a warm, clean room with a comfy bed to sleep on. This is what I got. The bar staff was lovely, yes the drinks could be classed as a little expensive, however this is London! The lounge was lovely with a fantastic view of th2le canary wharf. So overall, the hotel, is lovely, warm, welcoming and comfy, for £337 for 3 nights, we was very impressed!

I had a fantastic experience staying in room 152, which was really nice, with a big window, a comfortable bed, and everything spotless. The retro style throughout the hotel was stunning—especially the beautiful chandeliers that added such vintage charm. The staff was truly wonderful; everyone was friendly and welcoming, making me feel safe and comfortable, which I appreciated as a solo traveller and photographer visiting London for the first time. The restaurant had great seating, and the lounge offered a relaxing view by the water canal. Both breakfast and dinner were buffet-style, featuring traditional English dishes, which I enjoyed as well. The location was also ideal, just five minutes from public transport, making it easy to explore the city. I absolutely loved my stay, and I’ll definitely be back. Five stars!

We have stayed here before, this was our second time after experiencing great service from the staff previously. We got a room upgrade and was pleasantly surprised with the room. We stayed for one night and had a meal at the pizzeria. It was great for what we needed and slepted well. The hotel has charm and you get what you pay for as reflected in the price. Great for one or two nights for somewhere to rest, no frills with a classic hotel vibe. If you require more then this is not the hotel for you. Car park is directly underneath the hotel and straightforward to find, which we use as off street parking is near impossible in this area. Thank you to the staff at the pizzeria for there friendly service, we will come again to enjoy food.

The room was more than adequate for our needs. Nice view of Canary Wharf. Location was superb as we were attending an event at the 02 which is 1 tube stop away or 15 min taxi if you want a door to door service. Is the hotel generally a little bit tired in areas, yes, however the cost of rooms here is less than most of the country let alone premium London so all this gets factored in, hence this is our 4th stop in 2 years and we have never once complained. Rooms are big enough, air con works. Cappuccino from the bar was good. Service was fine at reception on check in, topping up coffee/tea etc... and fresh towels.

We were given an upgraded room on check-in. Lovely clean room and bedding , tea, coffee etc in room. Excellent view over the river docklands. Very good self-serve breakfast with good choice. Staff friendly and good prices at the bar. Excellent location 7 mins short level walk to Docklands Railway. Then, 30 minutes train to Tower Bridge, theatre land etc. 10 minutes steady walk to Thames Uber river boats for a good boat ride past all the sights to Battersea power station.
