A great place to stay if you're looking for a convenient location next to the waterside. It is around the corner from the jubilee line and a short 15 min walk to the Elizabeth line through the indoor shops/ cafe complex. Next to the hotel is also the DLR line. Suitcases, they do have a reception room where you can leave your cases inside with a ticket on collection. But this does get used a lot with guests, so bare this in mind if there is room. There are lots of cafes, bars, shops and Tesco across the road down the alley if you want snacks or something to eat. Britannia hotel is like your classic, old, traditional style hotel, with antique style cupboards and chandeliers on the ceiling. It is similar to wetherpsoons, if you're looking for a base and a cheaper place to stay. The twin room had nice firm mattresses (if your preference), it was clean and spacious. The best part was the shower had a very high pressure water system. Wifi was not good when using it as a guest. Basic amenities like shower gel, soap, body lotion, kettle with tea and coffee were in the room.

The room was more than adequate for our needs. Nice view of Canary Wharf. Location was superb as we were attending an event at the 02 which is 1 tube stop away or 15 min taxi if you want a door to door service. Is the hotel generally a little bit tired in areas, yes, however the cost of rooms here is less than most of the country let alone premium London so all this gets factored in, hence this is our 4th stop in 2 years and we have never once complained. Rooms are big enough, air con works. Cappuccino from the bar was good. Service was fine at reception on check in, topping up coffee/tea etc... and fresh towels.

For the price I paid, I was expecting a "you get what you pay for hotel" literally half the price of other hotels in Canary Wharf. So needless to say, I wasn't expecting much. But what I got far out weighed the price, very friendly staff, great customer care, great location and pretty much all the mod cons. Bedroom was clean and tidy, as you'd expect, the bathroom had more toiletries than I expected. A complimentary shower cap? Never had one of those in a hotel and I'd just so happen to forget my one. It's the little things.

The hotel is walking distance to the heart of Canary Wharf, which has lots of restaurants, supermarkets and transportation links. It's a nice hotel, quite charming with lovely decor and nice seating areas at the ground level. Some minor inconveniences in our stay, but overall good value for money if you want to stay at Canary Wharf.

The room was nice, very comfortable. I was given an upgrade to a room with a balcony with a water view, which was nice. Nice bar and restaurant area downstairs. Sampled a pasta dish as a takeaway and took it to my room to sit and eat on the balcony. Food was very tasty.
